Reflections on her first triathlon: My first triathlon was in 2005—it was a cold, windy, rainy day in northern Minnesota—and all I really remember is that when I passed my husband as I was going out on the bike and he was coming back, I yelled, "When do we get to do this again?" That race changed everything about how I thought of myself as an athlete and as a woman.
These days, Kris is training for her first 70.3 and enjoys training and racing in the Tampa Bay, Florida region. She is thrilled to be in this role today, advocating for and supporting women in triathlon.
