Since 2019, Fund Her Tri has offered a free triathlete mentorship program for women. We know triathlon can be intimidating, and there is a lot to learn when you’re new. To help grow and maintain women's participation in the sport, FHT Mentoring pairs experienced triathletes with new triathletes to provide support, guidance, and encouragement as they prepare for their events. The program is completely free, with our mentors generously volunteering their time to support our mission—to grow women’s participation in triathlon and get more women to the start line.
This is not a coaching service and does not include structured training plans. Mentors will share experiences, offer advice, and help navigate the challenges of triathlon training and competition.
Fund Her Tri provides program structure and training guide for mentors.

The Fund Her Tri Mentorship Program connects experienced triathletes with newer athletes to provide guidance, support, and inspiration as they navigate their triathlon journey.
This four to six-month virtual program is designed to:
Mentors play a key role in supporting mentees as they prepare for races, balance training with daily life, and develop their skills across swim, bike, and run. The program does not provide coaching but rather focuses on creating meaningful connections and offering peer-to-peer support.
You should plan to dedicate at least 1–2 hours for a group call every 4–6 weeks for four to six months.
You will receive an email connecting you with your mentor/mentee (or mentee group of 2 to 4 athletes). Matching happens on a rolling basis. Mentors will reach out to their mentees to schedule the first call as soon as they are ready!
Once connected, you should aim to arrange a call every 4–6 weeks for the duration of the program. If group members are participating in a triathlon in the near future (for example, in 8-12 weeks), meetings may be more frequent at first.
This will depend on what works best for each mentor and mentee group. In the past, groups have used email, Zoom, text, and WhatsApp groups to stay connected.
No. The FHT Mentoring Program does not provide coaching or training plans. The program is designed to offer advice, insights, and practical tips based on each mentor's experience.
